De Schalk, het stadion van voormail Willebroek wordt eind dit jaar afgebroken. Er komt een nieuwe sporthal in de plaats. Hopelijk is deze geschikt voor basketbal in eerste afdeling, want die sport leeft wel in Willebroek. Met Kangeroes (2e klasse), Duvel Willebroek en Turuka (beide derde klasse) staan er drie teams in nationale afdelingen.

Voetbal is er nog nauwelijks in Willebroek. SV Willebroek, de opvolgeer van Willebroek-Meerhof haalde amper punten in 4e provinciale dit seizoen.
